Whether you call it a grease trap or a grease interceptor, this is one of the most important pieces of equipment in your facility. You might run a franchise restaurant, a diner, or a fine dining restaurant, but you must have a way to dispose of used grease in a safe way. For new restaurants, as well as for those going through renovations, grease interceptor installation is a very important consideration. It’s not something that can be handled on your own – you’ll need an experienced professional to ensure that installation goes off without a hitch and that the grease trap is working properly. At Select Plumbing and Heating, Inc., we have years of experience serving restaurants throughout the GTA.
Your grease interceptor is located outside the restaurant, and is generally a large concrete box with several interior compartments. Grease and fat-laden wastewater flows into the trap, where it cools. The fats and grease solidify inside the interceptor, and are then cleaned/removed periodically.
We can offer installation, as well as grease interceptor cleaning and disposal. Grease haulers must be able to clean the interceptor/trap every 90 days in order to remain in compliance with regulations, or when the trap reaches 25% of capacity. In a busy restaurant, this can take a surprisingly short amount of time.
Whether you need a new grease interceptor installed or your existing interceptor cleaned, Select Plumbing and Heating, Inc. can help. Call us today at 1 888 501 5501 or 905 501 5501 to schedule an appointment with our experienced technicians.
